Three holiday plans, one bank balance and no Victoria Falls. Dan and I were both in Zimbabwe, and I wanted to show him just how beautiful my home country is. As a proud Zimbabwean married to a Cameroonian man, this was not merely tourism. It was diplomacy. It was national service. It was my chance to establish, once and for all, that although Cameroon may beat us in football, when it comes to scenery, y’all do not even compare. I said what I said.
