Peace Tanaka Kekia

My name is Peace Tanaka Kekia a medical doctor, a writer, a wife, and a woman growing into every version of herself.

I graduated in General Medicine and Surgery with distinctions, and further broadened my perspective through an MBA and an MSc Experimental Surgery. These experiences have shaped not only how I practice medicine, but how I think, allowing me to bridge science, innovation, and the wider human experience. My journey into medicine has always been deeply personal. From a young age, I knew I wanted to become a doctor. Perhaps it was influenced by my father, a well-loved senior consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, or perhaps it was something more innate, a calling to care, to understand, and to make a difference.

During my clinical training, particularly in Zimbabwe, I was confronted with a reality that stayed with me. Many patients presented late, not out of neglect, but because they lacked access to clear, reliable, and easy-to-understand health information. In those moments, I saw how powerful knowledge could be; and how dangerous its absence was. That experience didn’t just inspire this platform, it defined my mission. I am deeply passionate about making healthcare available, accessible, and affordable to each and every person, regardless of their socioeconomic status. This commitment sits at the heart of everything I do. From that purpose, this platform was born. My Blog was created to bridge the gap, to simplify health information, to educate, and to empower people to take control of their well-being.

But life has a way of expanding you.

As I have grown, so has my understanding of what it truly means to live well. Health is not confined to diagnoses and treatments, it is reflected in how we experience the world, the places we explore, the lifestyles we cultivate, and the thoughts we carry along the way.

This space is evolving because I am evolving.

What began as a purely medical platform has grown into a reflection of a fuller, richer journey. One that embraces health, travel, lifestyle, and thoughtful reflections on life. It remains rooted in purpose and service, while making room for curiosity, exploration, and the beauty of becoming. Because change, though inevitable, is also beautiful.

At my core, I remain the same, an African woman with a deep passion for medicine, a heart for people, and a desire to contribute meaningfully to the world. But I am also allowing myself to experience more, to see more, and to share more.

This is more than a rebrand. It is a continuation of my story, told more fully, more intentionally, and more freely.

Because everyone, everywhere, deserves a life where health is not out of reach.
